Children's Ministry

"You shall teach them [the commandments] to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up." Deuteronomy 11:19

Teaching the foundations of the faith starts with our precious children. In our Corner Fringe Children’s Ministry, we teach the whole Word of God, that Yeshua is the Way to salvation, and how to apply God’s Biblical truths to every area of life.

  • Teach the Bible in its entirety
  • Observe Biblical Sabbaths and Festivals
  • Reach out to others with the love of Yeshua
  • Ask Yeshua to be our Lord and Savior
  • Hunger after God's heart through worship, prayer, and obedience to Him

Shabbat Services for Children

Each Shabbat, we offer classes during the service time for children of all ages.

Jot and Tittle Nursery

Ages birth through 3 years old. They have a structured time of play and Bible time.

Zion Zone

Ages 4-7 years old. Here, they worship together, learn Bible verses, participate in a lesson, perform with puppets and have a time for crafts.

Bar & Bat

Ages 8-12 years old. This group is challenged on a more Biblical level as they study scripture and Torah portions. They also put into practice loving others each Shabbat as they serve in the Oneg Ministry for preparation and clean-up of our Oneg Fellowship Lunch.

Classes for Children

Available classes vary during the year. They are typically offered after our Oneg Fellowship Lunch on Saturday afternoon. Please see our CF Calendar for current classes and times.

Beginning Hebrew for Children:
This class teaches our 8-15 year olds the Hebrew Aleph-Bet and the basics of reading and writing Hebrew.

Hebrew II for Children:
After completing Beginning Hebrew, our 8-15 year olds are invited to continue their study of the Hebrew Aleph-bet at a deeper level.

Events for Children

Throughout the year, we hold other special events for our children:

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is four days of summer fun for kids ages 4-12 years old. Each day we worship, have an exciting hands-on lesson as well as puppet skits. The children have special time for devotions, snacks, crafts and games! Each day is created to be filled with fun, worship of our Savior, and encouragement for the children to live their lives for Yeshua. We welcome all children to join us each summer!

Hanukkah Party
is an annual winter family event. With the theme of honoring the Macabees and the re-dedication of the Temple, we celebrate an evening of Hanukkah with games, prizes, bouncy house and Pinewood Derby race for our 4-12 year olds.

Purim Party Sleepover is for our 8-12 year old girls. Together with adult women, they read and discuss the book of Esther followed by a fun night of pampering, just like Esther went through to prepare herself for the King. This is a wonderful time to make sure our girls know how precious they are in the eyes of our King Yeshua!

In addition to these fun events, we hold other all-family events throughout the year:

  • Passover
  • Baptism Picnic
  • Sukkot Camping
  • Night of Worship

"The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him." Exodus 15:2

Purpose of Worship

"Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness." Psalm 29:2

The goal of worship is to glorify God and is rooted in the honor and fear of YHVH – not the fear of man. Adoration, honor and reverence of our Elohim YHVH is without a doubt the center of our services as a community. We aspire for all - singers, musicians, dancers and the entire congregation - to flow as echad in spirit, heart and Truth - one in unity of worship of Him. Loving God in the Ways He Defines

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:5
"Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy." Psalm 33:3

Warfare and Battle Preparations

"And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: 'Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever.' Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. " 2 Chronicles 20:21-22

"Moreover David and the captains of the army separated for the service some of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, stringed instruments, and cymbals…. 2Of the sons of Asaph …who prophesied according to the order of the king. 3….the sons of Jeduthun….who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the LORD... 5… the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to exalt his horn. 6All these were under the direction of their father for the music in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the authority of the king. 7So the number of them, with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the LORD, all who were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight." 1 Chronicles 25:1-3,5-7

Healing & Refreshing

"And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him." 1 Samuel 16:23
